Welcome to the new era of seamless entry into Thailand. The Thai Immigration Bureau has officially launched THIM (Thailand Immigration Management System), a groundbreaking mobile and web platform designed to digitize and streamline the arrival and compliance processes for international visitors and long-term residents.
Developed in partnership with Digital Identity Co. and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), THIM eliminates the hassle of paper arrival forms, cutting down initial immigration processing time to under three minutes.
The transition from manual paperwork to a cloud-native framework brings immediate conveniences for anyone crossing the Thai border.
While THIM currently focuses on streamlining border entry, the Immigration Bureau envisions the platform evolving into a comprehensive digital services hub. This is particularly significant for professionals managing international clients, expats, and foreign workers in Thailand.
Planned future capabilities include:
Processing highly sensitive traveler and expat data requires robust infrastructure. THIM is built to ensure strict data sovereignty and security under Thai jurisdiction.
